"Who is responsible for this structure?" Palahotak

My Bodoh Point
Dipetik dari forum The Straits Times, 11 Dec 2008
*Gambar nih actually tegak, bukan senget, cuma bila aku scan, dia jadi senget sikit.

Mr Michael Yeo: "On July 4 last year, I fell from the first step of a bird viewing observation tower in Pasir Ris Park 2 onto the concrete surface. Due to irregularities in the step height, I severely injured my left angkle. I am still undergoing physiotherapy and taking painkillers. As the park is managed by NParks, I wrote to it but was told it is neither responsible nor liable for my injury as the structure was developed by another party. As it appears the tower is deemed a 'no-man structure', can someone tell me who is responsible for this structure so I can pursue the matter with the appropriate agency? I hope the agency will make the staircase safe for the public."

Editor response: Contoh klasik peribahasa, 'Tidak tahu menari, salahkan tanah tinggi rendah'. Dalam hal berikut, 'Tidak tahu jalan dan jatuh bodoh macam nangka busuk lalu terseliuh, salahkan tangga tinggi rendah'. Hati penulis berkecamuk seketika lalu tergerak untuk bertanya, "Kenapa tulisan sedemikian diluluskan editor akhbar lalu disiarkan dalam segmen 'Forum'? Dah takda bende lain ker?" Mungkin jawapannya tersirat. Mungkin si editor ingin menonjolkan kebodohan sesetengah golongan masyarakat kita. - DurbarNews
